You can pursue a 4-year degree course under the Technical Entry Scheme in Air Force or (10+2) B,Tech. using your All India JEE Main Rank. Those who have appeared for JEE Main 2018 are eligible to apply for this course. Application form for Cadet Entry Scheme is available between November 3 and 22, 2018 for the session beginning in July 2019. You can apply for the course only if you are an unmarried male.

All those who have appeared in JEE Main must also meet other eligibility criteria like age, physical qualification, and educational qualification. However, your JEE Main Rank holds primary importance in finalizing your admission to the course. Application form for Cadet Entry Scheme is a completely online process and no offline application form is available. You must fill the application form within the stipulated date, else your application is rejected.

In order to shortlist candidates for SSB (Service Selection Board), Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to fix the cut off based in All India JEE Main Rank. If you are shortlisted, you will be informed through email or SMS on the details mentioned in the Application Form. There is no application fee and the course will be conducted at Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala located in Kerala.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy Recruitment 2018


  • Candidates must have passed senior secondary examination (10th & 12th) or equivalent with a minimum aggregate score of 70% in subjects like Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, from any board recognized by Council of Boards of School Education in India (CBSE).
  • A minimum of 50% is also necessary in English (either in class 10th or class 12th
  • Students must also have appeared for JEE Main 2018 to apply for the post
  • You must have a good JEE Main rank to be eligible


Candidates should have been born between 2nd July, 1999 and 1st January, 2002 to be eligible to apply.

How to Apply for Indian Navy Recruitment 2018?

By following the simple steps mentioned below, one can easily apply for the post.

Step 1: Go the official website of Indian Navy –

Step 2: Check all the recruitment details for the desired post and proceed to fill the application form.

Step 3: If you already have an account, then click on “LOGIN” and login to your account by filling the registered email address and password.

Step 4: If you do not have an account then click on “REGISTER”.

Step 5: On clicking “Register”, two options are displayed – Register with Aadhar Number and Register without Aadhar Number.

Step 6: Select an option and create an account by filling in the required credentials and login.

Step 7: Carefully fill the application form and click “SUBMIT”.

Step 8: Download the filled application form for all future references.

Selection Procedure (SSB)

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview, which is the first stage, on the basis of their respective JEE Main Rank.

The SSB interview will be held in two stages, for which the details are available on the official website (

  • Stage I for SSB includes group discussion, intelligence test, and picture perception test
  • Stage II will be held for 4 consecutive days and comprise psychological testing, group testing and interview. On qualifying stage II, candidates will have to undergo medical examination that is expected continue for another 03-05 days.

The training is all set to commence from the month of July 2019. The organisation will bear the entire cost for cadet’s training. Besides, cadets will be also eligible for mess service and free clothing.

Other Perks and Benefits

Indian Navy offers mess/club/sports facilities (surfing, rafting etc.), free medical facilities for self & dependents, furnished Govt. accommodation, canteen facilities, car/housing loan at subsidised rates, entitled ration. Candidates are also entitled to 40% rail concession and free travel for self and dependents.

Officers are granted an insurance cover worth INR 75 lakhs (based on contribution). They can also avail 20 casual leaves and 60 annual leaves. Any leave during training period will be based on the Training Policy in force.
