Ans : To assist candidates in getting the Aadhar Card, NTA has established various JEE Main 2019 Aadhar Facilitation Center where candidates can enroll for UIDAI Aadhaar Card and in case the facility to enroll will not be available the candidates will be issued a Registration Number which is the number you need to fill the application.
Que: How can pay the fee for JEE Main application form?
Ans : You can pay the fee by online mode via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking or the offline mode via E-Challan of SBI Bank. You can visit any SBI Branch for submitting the fees. Ans: Candidates who have passed/appearing class XII from NIOs should select the State of Eligibility in which study center is located. The State of eligibility is not applicable for Nepal /Bhutan/Foreign/OCI/PIO candidates. Institution abroad students state of eligibility will be determined on the basis of permanent address in India as written in the Passport. Candidates who have passed XII in one state but for improvement they appear in other state. They should fill the original state from where he/she passed XII not the state where she/ he has appeared for the examination.

Que: My name in Aadhar Card does not match with that in the School Records. Is this an issue?
Ans : Yes, this might harm the candidature. However, do not worry as you can submit a correction request at Aadhar Center and in return to correction request, candidates will get a slip having a 14-digit enrollment number which must be filled in JEE Main Eligibility Criteria.

Ans : Candidates will be able to reset their password of JEE Main 2019 application form through the security question and answer chosen by candidates during the application process. After this, a verification code is sent on the registered mobile number or a reset link is sent on your registered email ID.

Que: What if you forgot JEE Main 2019 Application Number?
Ans: You can click on “I can’t access my account?”, following which the candidates will have to select “I forgot my JEE Main Application Number”. After this, you need to submit similar information that you submitted during registration like Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, State of Eligibility, Case Sensitive Security Pin and later click on “Submit”. JEE Main 2019 application number will be recovered after submitting the required information.
Que: How much is the JEE Main application fee?
Ans: JEE Main application fee will be according to the category and gender of candidate along with his/her choice of examination mode. The payment has to be done in online (credit card/debit card) or offline mode (e-challan). The fee will be displayed while the candidate is filling the application form.
Que: How can I check the status of JEE Main 2019 examination fees?
Ans: Candidates are required to check the status on official website of NTA i.e www. jeemain.nic.in. For convenience, candidates should take a printout of the confirmation page. In case, the confirmation page is not displayed, you can do one of the following points:
- If the fees is paid through e-challan by depositing cash in SBI Branch, then visit nearest branch to update their fees status.
- If you have paid the fees through online i.e Net Banking/ Credit or Debit Card, you should wait for minimum 48 hours. If the fees is not still updated, it means the fees is cancelled. In this case, you should pay the fees again and previous amount will be refunded within 7-10 working days.
Que: What would be the case if a candidate fills more than 1 application form?
Ans: It will be rejected, NTA will accept only 1 application form per student.
Que: How can candidates outside India (PIO/OCI/NRI) apply for examination without the Aadhar identity number?
Ans : Candidates outside India may apply using their Passport details.
Que: Can I use Calculator while appearing in the exam?
Ans: No, candidates are not allowed to use calculator in the exam.
Que: I have no experience with online examination? How can I prepare for the examination?

Que: If I have made mistakes in my application form, can I fill another one or correct the mistakes the form?
Ans: Candidates can submit only 1 application. The correction facility will be opened by the authorities after the submission process is over. Correction window will be start from 08 October to 14 October 2018.
Que: Should I send the JEE Main 2019 application form & any documents to the authorities?
Ans : You do not need to send any documents separately to the authorities.
Que: Which browser should be used while applying JEE Main Application form?
Ans: Candidate should use Mozilla Firefox/Internet Explorer (above 9.0). Candidate must check their internet connection speed while filling the application form. Clear all cookies and history. Fill the form in off-peak hours.
Que: Is it necessary to appear in JEE Main examination twice? If I give the examination on both the occasions, which score will be considered?
Ans: It is not necessary to appear for the exam twice. This would be optional for candidates to appear once or twice for the current academic sessions. If the candidates appear for both tests, better of the 2 scores will be taken for merit list.
Que: Will there any changes in JOSAA counselling process?
Ans: There will be no changes in JOSAA counselling.
Que: If I am a private candidate, or have done my 10+2 from NIOS, what should I put in my school details?
Ans : The marks secured in 10+2 from NIOS have to be submitted by candidates while filling the online application form. Along with the marks, year of passing, name of school board, type of institution, name of school/institute of the candidate for 10th and 12th standard also has to be submitted.
Que: How many exam centers should we choose?
Ans: Candidates can chose upto 3 exam centers according to their preference.
Que: Who can assist me in filling JEE Main 2019 application form?
Ans: Guidelines to fill the application form have been released by NTA official authorities. Candidates can refer to the guidelines to register themselves for the examination.
Que: Is there any need to upload thumb impression in the Application form?
Ans: It is not mandatory to upload thumb impression while filling the Application form.
Que: Can I wear spectacle in the photograph?
Que: Would I need to upload non-creamy layer, nativity or community certificates?

Ans: Yes, you have to fill your mother’s details.

Que: Is GST applicable on application fee?
Ans: In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit card, candidates need to pay an additional processing charge as following- for Domestic Credit Card, 0.80% of the examination fee plus GST as applicable. For International Credit Card, 3.50% of the examination fees plus GST as applicable. For Net Banking, Rs. 5 plus GST as applicable.

Que: The name of father/mother is not same as in school records. The address mentioned in Aadhar has been changed due to transfer or some other reason.
Ans: If the particulars are not matched with Aadhar data, candidates should correctly fill these particulars as per school records. The present/permanent address may also be filled accordingly.
Que: Can candidates of Assam/J&K/Meghalaya having Aadhar Card choose Examination Center across India for the exam?
Ans: Candidates who have passed or are appearing in Class XII examination from the states of J&K, Assam & Meghalaya having Aadhar Card can choose the Examination Center across India. Candidates must ensure that name, Date of birth & gender in online application for JEE Main must be same in X, XII Certificate/Marksheet and Aadhar Card details for the purpose of his/her identity and authentication.
Que: What mistakes can be corrected when form correction facility is activated?
Ans: Correction in particulars can be done only if candidates have paid the fee and completed all the steps of online application form. Candidates can modify all the particulars including city of examination, Paper-2 to Paper-1 and vice versa or select both papers of his/her application form during the facility of correction between October 8-14, 2018. The balance fee, if any due to correction in particulars, will have to be paid by the candidates during that period.
Que: What can be done if candidates have applied for both paper 1 & Paper 2 but do not want to appear in Paper-1 or Paper-2?
Ans: There is no compulsion for such candidates to appear in both papers, they can appear in the paper of their choice. But there is no refund of fee.
Que: Will candidates appearing in class 12th examination in 2018 or improvement examination in 2019 enter their roll number of class 12th?
Ans: The option of entering Roll number is not mandatory, if it is allotted then mention it, otherwise leave it empty and fill the remaining options in the JEE Main 2019.
Que: In case candidate(s) fails to book the date for online examination after paying the fees or the capacity in the selected city is full, how will they know about the date and session of examination?
Ans: If a candidate does not make any selection, he/she shall be randomly assigned a slot/date as per the availability of same in examination city selected by them. Details of session and slot will be mentioned on their admit card which can be downloaded from the website from December 17, 2018.
Que: What action is to be taken, if candidate has opted Hindi/Gujarati medium for examination and wants to appear in English medium?
Ans: The question paper will be bilingual (both in Hindi/English and Gujarati/English) for candidates who have opted Hindi/Gujarati medium. Candidates can attempt question in any medium during examination.
Que: What can be done if candidate has opted English medium for examination and wants to appear Hindi/Gujarati in medium?
Ans: Such candidates should do correction in their application form as mentioned in point 1 above. In computer based examination, candidates can choose the medium on their screen during the examination.
Que: What is the State of Eligibility for the Improvement Candidates/Institution Abroad/NIOS?

Ans: If a candidate has passed Class 12th/ Equivalent qualifying examination from one state but appeared for improvement from another state, his/her state code of eligibility will be from where he/she has originally passed Class 12th/ Equivalent qualifying examination and not the state from where he/she has appeared for improvement. For Indian nationals passing the equivalent qualifying examination from an institution abroad, the State of Eligibility will be determined on the basis of permanent address in India as given in the Passport of the candidate. Candidate passed/appearing class 12th from NIOS should select the State of Eligibility according to the state in which the study center is located. The State of Eligibility is not applicable for candidates belonging to Nepal/Bhutan/Foreign/OCI/PIO.
Que: In case the photograph is does not have a name and date, would the form be rejected?
Ans: Name of candidate and date on which the photograph is taken is to be mentioned on the photograph, but in case uploaded photograph does not have name and date, form will not be rejected and no correction is required in such a case and he/she will be issued admit card for appearing in the exam.
Que: How will an NRI or a foreign student enter his/her mobile number?
Ans: Such candidates should enter the mobile number of his/her relative residing in India.
Que: Are candidates who appeared in Paper-2 eligible for admission to B.Arch. course in IITs?
Ans: No, candidates who appeared in Paper-2 are eligible for admission to B. Arch. only in NITs/SPAs other CFTIs (where B.Arch. course is available). For admission to B.Arch. in IIT’s, there is separate procedure for which candidates should see the website of IITs.
Que: What is Eligibility for Diploma Students for JEE-Main 2019?
Ans: To appear in JEE (Advanced), a diploma holder can apply for JEE Main 2019 but his/her rank and score for JEE Main will not be declared as diploma holders cannot apply for admission in NITs and CFTIs through JEE Main channel.

Application Form Correction
NTA strongly advises applicants to be very careful while filling application form. For example, they can refer registration to see spellings of names of candidate and parents. Once the application form is submitted, there may or may not have a chance for form correction.
Only one-time opportunity is given to JEE aspirants for correcting their details (Personal) filled in the Application form. JEE Main 2019 Application Form Correction window was available between October 8 and 14, 2018.
A candidate is eligible to correct a particular detail once they have completed all the steps and have successfully completed payment of JEE Main Application Form. A candidate will be eligible to edit their personal details including scanned copy of passport size photographs, signature or change the exam mode from pen & paper based (offline) to computer based (online) exam but vice versa is not allowed.
