Amity JEE 2019: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility

Amity JEE 2019 is an online entrance test conducted by Pearson VUE, on behalf of Amity University. The test leads the students to get admission in B.Tech. Program offered by Amity University. Through this test, candidates can get admission into the various specialisations offered at several campuses of Amity University.

The application process for Amity JEE 2019 starts in the month of March or April. Candidates can start filling their forms in these months and can appear for the test, which is generally conducted in June. Amity JEE 2019 is a candidate friendly exam and allows candidates to choose their preferred center and time. Further, admission through Amity JEE 2019 is purely based on merit.

Candidates desirous of getting admission in one of the several campuses of Amity University must know the important details concerning the exam such as important dates, syllabus, eligibility criteria and pattern are some of the important things that every candidate should understand.

Important Dates for Amity JEE 2019

As mentioned earlier, the application process for Amity JEE 2019 generally starts in the month of March. Amity University allows candidates to schedule / reschedule their exam from the last week of May. The exam is conducted mostly in the 2nd week of June. Amity University keeps a speedy approach in delivering the results, and provides them in just one week after the exam.

Amity JEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Amity University has stipulated eligibility guidelines for Amity JEE 2019. The minimum qualification required is passing Class 12. However, depending upon the courses, the candidates will need to have a minimum percentage marks in class 12 too. The university checks both overall percentage and a PCM/PCB percentage for granting admissions to particular specializations of engineering.

Candidates can take a look at the following points to understand the eligibility criteria: –

  • Candidate must have passed class 12th, or an equivalent course, from a recognized board or institution.
  • Should have passed all the subjects in such equivalent course or class 12th. Thus, candidate having a compartment or backlog are not eligible to appear for the exam.
  • Depending upon the course, and category (sponsored or non-sponsored), candidate may need to fulfill some additional criteria related to percentage of marks in Class 12th.

Candidates having 80% or more marks in Class 12 can get direct admission in Amity University’s courses. Such candidates do not need to appear in Amity JEE 2019. Such candidates just need to apply for admission through the Amity Admission Form and they will be offered seats.

Amity JEE 2019 Application Form

Candidates can apply for Amity JEE 2019 through the online form. Candidates can fill the fill the form online and thus make the payment through Debit or Credit card to complete the process.

Alternatively, candidates can choose the option to download the form. Candidates can download the form in PDF Format. Such form is to be printed and filled duly and is to be accompanied with necessary documents. Further, with the Demand Draft for the fees, this form can be submitted at the campus(es) at which candidates are desirous of getting admission.

There is a third option for applying for Amity JEE 2019 too. Candidates can visit Amity Information Centers and can get the admission pack there. However, this is service is subject to availability in certain cities only.

  • To fill the online form, candidates can follow the below mentioned steps: –
  • Reach the official website of Amity University, i.e. www.amity.edu.
  • On the homepage, candidates need to locate the ‘Apply Now 2019’ button.
  • Clicking this button will lead to a page that gives candidates 3 methods of applying. Option 1 is for online form, option 2 is for downloadable PDF form and option 3 is for locating Amity Information Centers.
  • From here, candidates need to click on ‘Apply Online.’
  • The application form for Amity JEE 2019 will get loaded on the screen. Candidates can now start filling the form and upload the requisite documents to apply for the entrance test.
  • After completing the form, candidates can make a payment of INR 1100 to complete the process.
  • To check the status of the form, candidates can log in to ‘Admission Microsite (https://portal.amity.edu/login.aspx).’ All future updates and communication will be made on this portal only.

Documents required for Amity JEE 2019 form

Candidates will need to have following documents to apply for Amity JEE 2019: –

  • A scanned passport size photograph, in jpg, gif, png, jpeg or bmp formats.
  • Scanned copy for Class X marksheet, in jpg, gif, png, jpeg, pdf or bmp formats.
  • A valid email ID and contact number.

Amity JEE 2019 Admit Card

Amity JEE 2019 Admit Card will be issued via online mode only. Candidates can download their admit card through Admission Microsite of the university. Candidates will need to enter their Form Number and Password to log in to the admission microsite.

The admit card will mention necessary details regarding the exam, e.g. Exam Date, Center Location, Exam Time etc. The admit card is to be carried necessarily to the examination center to appear in the exam. Further, this admit is to be accompanied with a copy of valid ID proof.

Rescheduling / Scheduling

Candidates are given the option of rescheduling their Amity JEE 2019 exam. However, candidates must take care that such rescheduling can only be done once. Further, such rescheduling can be only up to 48 hours prior to the exam.

Amity JEE 2019 Examination Pattern

Amity JEE 2019 is conducted in online mode only. The examination pattern of the exam is set by the university in such a way that it tests all major skills required by a candidate to become a successful engineer.

The examination pattern of Amity JEE 2019 is explained in following pointers: –

  • Amity JEE 2019 will be of two hours, and will be conducted in online mode only (i.e. Computer Based Test).
  • The test will feature a total of 90 questions.
  • The test will have 4 sections, General English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology.
  • For the 4th section, candidates can choose one subject from either Mathematics or Biology.
  • General English section will have 15 questions, while the other three sections will have 25 questions each.
  • Each question will carry a weightage of 4 marks. Thus, the total marks in the exam are 360.
  • There is negative marking in Amity JEE 2019 exam. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response given by the candidate. However, there is no negative marking for leaving a question blank or unattempted.

Amity JEE 2019 Result

Result of Amity JEE 2019 will be published on the university’s website. Amity University will create the merit list of candidate based on the marks of candidates in the test.

Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of merit list thus created. Candidates will be able to view the soft copy of their admission offer on Admission Microsite. Further instructions regarding the admission process will also be there.
